I'm fresh off the plane and what a treat to read about your trip. I second the thought that you make one miss NYC. I also second the appreciation for the flowing veins of large amounts of commuters. I found myself in the London Waterloo tube station watching scores of people move around one another without rage and with the utmost efficiency...and even plucked Scott out of the masses as he came in from his flight commute to the city. Ethiopia offered up crowded but entirely efficient taxi and minibus systems that keep cars off the road and people interacting with one another as you literally sit on another's laps trying to get from A to B. Ahh.
